COCA COLA rare 20 pc SET - 1943 WWII WAR PLANES - 13x15" HANGING SIGNS
eBay PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO VIEW ALL THE PICTURES!! - This rare and complete set of 20 COCA COLA 1943 promotional WWII wall-hangings features a war plane of some type on each of the 20 different examples - colors are true and bright, condition is amazingly strong and the backs indicate these were never hung or mounted. Probably these were issued to bars, retail outyets and maybe even for sale to the public - they make a beautiful and extensive set, now 78 years old and remarkably crisp. I have examined each one and aside from a few softened corners, I see nothing of concern, no tears, no loss, no stains, no markings – no problems. Each is 13” x 15” with a self-frame, date 1943 etc lower right and a bright red Coca Cola advert lower left. Each is signed by the artist commissioned to execute these, Willliam J Heathslip. The planes chosen to be fully illustrated in this set are as follows: Grumman “WILDCAT” F4F Fighter U S NAVY - North American “INVADER” A36 Attack Bomber U S ARMY AIR FORCE - Republic P-47 Pursuit U S ARMY AIR FORCE - North American “MITCHELL” B-25 Medium Bomber U S ARMY AIR FORCE - Martin “MARAUDER” B-26 Medium Bomber U S ARMY AIR FORCE - Vought-Sikorsky YR-4 U S ARMY AIR FORCE - Martin “MARINER” PBM Patrol Bomber U S NAVY - Lockheed C-69 Transport U S ARMY AIR FORCE - Curtis “HELLDIVER” SB2C Dive Bomber U S NAVY - Curtis “WARHAWK” P-40 Pursuit U S ARMY AIR FORCE - Bell “AIRACOBRA” P-39 Pursuit U S ARMY AIR FORCE - Grumman “AVENGER” TBF Torpedo Bomber U S NAVY - Grumman “HELLCAT” F6F Fighter U S NAVY - Consolidated “CATALINA” PBY Patrol Bomber U S NAVY - Boeing “FORTRESS” B-17 Heavy Bomber U S ARMY AIR FORCE - Vought-Sikorsky OS2U Observation Scout U S NAVY - Lockheed “LIGHTNING” P-38 Pursuit U S ARMY AIR FORCE - Douglas “HAVOC” P-70 Night Fighter U S ARMY AIR FORCE - Vought-Sikorsky “CORSAIR” F4U Fighter - and lastly Consolidated “LIBERATOR” B-24 Heavy Bomber U S ARMY AIR FORCE.” - Acquired from a private Pennsylvania estate – buyer pays 25.00 safe bubble shipping, Insurance and tracking in USA More than just a pretty picture. Vintage 1950’s Coca-Cola Coke Airline Drink Cooler With Opener
Selling a super nice, “all original”, Coke picnic cooler. This particular style of cooler was made during the 1940’s and 1950’s and are referred to as “airline” coolers because they were taken on board small passenger planes to serve cold Cokes to the passengers during flight. It was designed to be very sleek and compact to fit within the confined space of the passenger airplanes of the time. Its dimensions are 17 inches side to side, 6 1/4 inches front to back, and 12 inches tall. It holds 12 small bottles of Coke. As I stated, it is all original – no repaint, no touch

Vintage BRUCE MCCOMBS 'Street Corner' URBAN Pop Art Scene ETCHING - Coca Cola
ORIGINAL 1975 BRUCE MCCOMB (b 1943) 'STREET CORNER' SIGNED LIMITED EDITION ETCHINGThis is just a great original piece. I have had one other Bruce McCombs etching in the past and it hung in my house for many years. His city views are really spectacular and this one is really one of his biggest and best. For those not familiar with the artist, I have included his biography below. This is a wonderful city view looking at a store on the corner and the roads going both ways down from the store. It is just a wonderful city view with all the store signs and the advertising. There are at least a couple larger Coke ads including a billboard with Santa drinking a coke. The artist even added 2 old cars on each road to make the print have even more depth. Etching on paper with the image measures 23 1/4 x 35 1/2 on complete original sheet measuring 25 1/2 x 38 inches. Signed, titled, and numbered in pencil below the image. Wonderful crisp and clean impression. There is a faint matte box around the outside of the image in the margins but nothing too bad. Really a wonderful print. Unframed. Print is stored in a tube and will be shipped that way. FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES! For those not familiar with the artist, his biography from a gallery that sells the artist's work reads: "Bruce McCombs has a way of turning our ordinary surroundings into spectacular displays and colorful reflections. The artist works from original photographs which he reconstructs to create magnificent new compositions His subjects include urban settings: like NYC and his hometown of Cleveland, architecture, neon signs, planes, trains and vintage automobiles. Bruce McCombs received his BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art and his MFA degree from Tulane University. Most recently, his work has appeared in shows in Norway, Taiwan, Columbia, and the former Yugoslavia, among others. McCombs’s artwork is a part of many important collections including: The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Cleveland Museum of Art, the Library of Congress, Washington D.C. and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Hanoi, Vietnam. McCombs teaches art at Hope College in Michigan, where he has been part of the faculty since 1969. “From a distance, my paintings often appear to be a rendered depiction of a scene, but upon closer viewing, the parts are revealed as abstract pieces, built one layer upon another into realistic images.” -Bruce McCombs Bruce McCombs artist statement "Beginning in the early sixties....(or 60's...) when I was at the Cleveland Institute of Art and later when at Tulane University In New Orleans, I worked primarily in the medium of etching. From 1970 through 1991, I produced approximately 100 large format prints. Their sizes were either 22" x 28" or 24" x 36". Because I had a sabbatical opportunity in 1990 to live in the UK for a period of time, I had to give up etching and find another medium. Since I had a print studio at my home, I had never been at a loss for facilities to etch and print. But, I would not have a print studio available in England. This prompted me to propose a sabbatical leave exploring watercolor painting. My love of photography was influential in developing my watercolor subject matter and style. Perhaps, the patience that I needed to work on etching plates (sometimes 3-5 months in developing) helped me use that same patient approach to watercolor because I develop my paintings with extensive glazing. When I returned to the states, I did a few more etchings, but realized that there was now an opportunity to explore and develop my art with watercolor, in color and in the positive. My etchings were in black & white (not required), and all plates are worked in reverse so the immediacy of watercolor was very satisfying. Subsequently, in 1992, I abandoned etchings altogether and have since worked exclusively in watercolor. The dimensions of the watercolor paintings are similar to my etchings (22" x 28" & 24" x 36") which were a comfortable size. Traveling has been helpful, because I especially enjoy architectural and automotive subjects and they are always available. When I photograph possible subjects, I compose but when I am ready to start a new painting, I rework and cut up the photo. I have used locations from our visits to the UK, Europe, Eastern Europe and many cities in the United States. Although distinctive landmarks turn up in my work, there are universal aspect to the cities and countries we have seen. What amazes me is that everything looks different when I travel because I am really looking and open to new subject matter, points of view and lighting. " CHECK THE PICTURES ON THIS GREAT PIECE. DONT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY. Shipping and handling can be calculated based on the ebay shipping calculator. If you have any questions regarding the work, please dont hesitate to ask.
