On auction, we have an original Coca Cola advertising sign from 1949. "Shop Refreshed" is a glossy finished lithograph on cardboard. It measures 10 7/8" X 12 7/8". Printed at the bottom is "Copyright 1949, The Coca-Cola Company" and "Litho In U.S.A.". 1949 was a very good year. "Hamlet" won the Academy award for best picture, beating "The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre". Vaughn Monroe had the number 1 record "Riders In The Sky". The Minneapolis Lakers beat the Washington Capitols for the BAA championship, later that year the league merged to become the NBA.
