eBay "COCA-COLA" WARTIME GAME BOX - 1940's The Coca-Cola Bottling Co. / Milton Bradley. 11-3/4" x 10-3/8" x 1-1/2" red & white box. Box lid is a highly graphic collage illustrating the assorted game pieces within (marked "Compliments of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company"). This elaborate game assortment features an interesting array of classic games, specifically designed with Coca-Cola advertising for WWII soldier use at USO clubs. Included are - "Dragon" Checkers (in original box), 28 dominos (unboxed), wood Cribbage board (with 2 metal scoring pegs stored in hidden compartment under base), two decks of playing cards, 3 bridge score pads, 6 dice, one dice cup, & two original instruction booklets. Also features various original inner box die-cut cardboard graphic supports. NOTE: Instruction booklet is dated 1934. Bridge card deck is dated 1943. What appears missing are - box for dominos, four "8" cards from one card deck, and possibly a checkers backgammon game board. A scarce & visually impressive presentation. Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface stain edge wear. Moderate litho wear, scuffing & creasing, most notably on playing card boxes & cards. No box splits or separations. Overall, we feel this is a nice representative example of a great Coca-Cola promotional set. A very displayable example by most standards (see photos).
