Original Listing Description

You are bidding on an Original 1932 Coca Cola Metalcraft Truck #171 w/ Rubber Wheels + 10 Glass Bottles. The item is in used, but original working condition, and measures 10-3/4" x 5-1/2" in size. The red-painted 1930's-style delivery truck has inserts for 10 2-1/2" glass Coca Cola bottles, 5 on each side of the truck, with a painted yellow background. The advertising sign at the top on each side is somewhat worn, but legibly reads "Coca Cola" with the Trade-Mark in the tail of the first "C", and "EVERY BOTTLE STERILIZED". The back of the truck is painted red, yellow, and green. The advertising reads "DRINK Coca Cola DELICIOUS AND REFRESHING", followed by "METALCRAFT BOTTLING TRUCK ST. LOUIS, U.S.A." in small black print below. The front radiator grill is embossed "White", for the White Motor Company of Cleveland, Ohio, which was likely the manufacturer of Coca Cola delivery trucks. The truck has all 4 original rubber wheels stamped "Goodrich Silvertown". The bottom of the truck is stamped with the manufacturer's information: "METALCRAFT CORP. ST. LOUIS MADE IN U.S.A." The truck has no dents, and is in otherwise good condition for its age. The embossed glass bottles bear a circle "C" manufacturer's mark on the bottom, indicating they were manufactured by Owens Illinois. There are no chips or cracks in any of the bottles. The bottles do not have caps.This item comes from the legendary collection of the late-Bob Simonton, original member of the Cola-Clan - now Coca-Cola Collectors Club.
