Vintage Original 1950s Sign Of Good Taste Coca Cola With 1st Black couple and Child. The woman model in this poster is Mary Alexander who was chosen from a promotion of many women ,, Mary Alexander went on to become the face of Coca Cola.. and quite famous.. Google her name and you can read all about her. The man that is in the poster I believe was a football player. Ebony magazine put out an issue in 1948 In search of Brown "huskers" to boost the coca cola movement. From there Coca Cola researched the demographics etc and found Mary Alexander to be it. There is a lot of history behind this poster ad. Believed to be the first to promote coca cola using African American couple and child and it worked. This poster Is on heavy board believed to be an original. I do not see any signs it could be a print. This was an estate purchase I can't figure out how to get it back Into that frame. However, the frame is included. It is hard to put a price tag on such history , there are no others out there to compare it to,.,. just others with the usual Caucasian woman with a high $ price tag.. In All of my.research I only found the history. It is in fair to ok condition. Please refer to pics. Any questions please message***** I do not set shipping prices.,..
