This COCA COLA Coke Bottle Cooler is a Family heirloom that dates to the 1940's when purchased new in Texas. This Cooler accompanied the family on many a picnic and road trips over the years. It has stayed within the family all these past 75+ years, but is finally ready for a new home. Rough measurements are 17½" long and 8½" wide. It's height with handle snapped in place on top of Lid is 14¼"; without the Lid, height is approximately 12". Message on both sides reads: "DRINK COCA COLA IN BOTTLES". On one side, bottom center, is a Drain with a screw on Cap Plug which is attached with a small chain probably the only reason it was never lost over all these years. Also on that same side, on the upper right, is an attached Bottle Opener. The Lid is lined around its perimeter with a rubber-type Seal that has endured over time and remains complete and intact. The Lid seals firmly when the folding steel bar handle is lifted and slipped over the top handle of the Lid. One lower corner has been dented, as shown, but the dent does not extend into the interior. The interior is without any dents, scratches or damage other than age. The exterior does have some paint loss, also as shown.This old Coca Cola Cooler was made by the Progress Refrigeration Company of Louisville, Kentucky in the 1940's. The style is referred to as an "Airline Cooler", but not certain if that was the original name bestowed by the manufacturer or not. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
