Vintage Original 1950s Sign Of Good Taste Coca Cola With 1st Black couple and Child. The woman model in this poster is Mary Alexander who was chosen from a promotion of many women ,, Mary Alexander went on to become the face of Coca Cola.. and quite famous.. Google her name and you can read all about her. The man that is in the poster I believe was a football player. Ebony magazine put out an issue in 1948 In search of Brown "huskers" to boost the coca cola movement. From there Coca Cola researched the demographics etc and found Mary Alexander to be it. There is a lot of history behind this poster ad. Believed to be the first to promote coca cola using African American couple and child and it worked. This poster Is on heavy board believed to be an original. I do not see any signs it could be a print. This was an estate purchase I can't figure out how to get it back Into that frame. However, the frame is included. It is hard to put a price tag on such history , there are no others out there to compare it to,.,. just others with the usual Caucasian woman with a high $ price tag.. 1986 Coca Cola 100th Centennial Celebration International 9 Bottle Collector Set
Here is a 1986 Coca Cola 100th Centennial Celebration International 9 Bottle Set. I purchased this unique Coke collectible through a Coca Cola Clan merchandise special which was offered to its club members in 1986. My set is in new condition and was removed from its original shipping box for pictures. As shown, the bottles remain in their original Styrofoam packing. I removed one bottle for a picture showing the Coca Cola Centennial logo. The nine bottles included in this set are as follows: Peoples Republic of China; Bulgaria; Morocco; Japan; English (USA); Thailand; Korea; Israel; Ethiopia. I open and removed the plastic protective bag which covered both the Plexiglas cover and wooden base. Along the bottom edge of the clear display cover are the names of each country printed in black lettering. The wood base display platform measures approximately 24 ¾” long. There is a gold metal commemorative plaque with the black lettering “Coca Cola 100th Centennial Celebration” designed to be applied to the front of the wood base. Certainly a rarity!This rare Coca-Cola bookmark from 1896 is a true gem for any advertising collector. Made of celluloid, it is heart shaped with cut out design and features a black and white image of a beautiful woman with a soda glass on front and red Coca Cola logo and lettering on reverse.These are pretty rare as you can imagine especially the early 2 sided ones like this. It is a great addition to any collection, especially for those interested in advertising and soda memorabilia. Dating back to 1896, it is in remarkably good condition. The image and lettering are slightly faded but still strong. It measures 1 7/8" wide and just under 2 1/4" tall. It is an incredible survivor of Coca-Cola's early advertising efforts. This sign was approximately 6" taller, and the bottom must have been damaged, so a previous owner trimmed the damage and replaced the paper 'frame' along the bottom. This sign depicts a beautiful young 'pin-up' woman wearing a thin white satin slip dress. On the top left is the text "Drink Coca-Cola." In the lower left, it reads "Litho in USA 1935," and in the lower right, "Snyder & Black Inc N.Y." Rare? Coca Cola caddy
This box appears to be early Coke caddy. It has been in our family over 100 years. My father played with it when he was young child. If still living, he would be over 100 years old. I have searched many years to verify what it is. I cannot find any reference to another one? Can only guess that maybe a prototype? sample made by factory to attempt to sell to Coke? I discovered this in old family garage prior to garage being torn down. It was filthy black until I washed it. Grandparents and great aunt also have verified the age of this caddy(?) prior to their passing. Selling this Vintage Rushton Company African American Coca Cola Santa Plush Doll. These are Rare and HTF. Measures 18" from tip of hat to sole of shoes. White rubber shoes have the Rushton Co. Copyright seal on the heels. Rubber face, hands and shoes. Red plush suit and hat with white "fur" trim. Black vinyl belt is attached to the "skirt" that gives the appearance of a jacket. Rushton tag is sewn to the doll's right side seam beneath the "skirt" of the jacket. Coca Cola bottle is in his hand - does not have a cap to the "bottle". From the Rushton Company of Atlanta, GA. He is tagged on his body and marked on his boots. The Rushton company made plush toys with rubber faces from the 1950s - 1960s. He measures approximately 18" tall that includes the pom-pom on his hat. He is in a red suit with white boots. He is in very good vintage condition with some minor flaws from display and storage. The white plush/fur areas have some minor darkening. His boots have some scuff marks and dings. Otherwise the red areas of his suit look nice.
