1933 2-Sided Triangular Tennessee Enamel Mfg. Co. Coca Cola Coke Sign
Although I’m a retired 78-year old former teacher who has delt in antiques on the side for years, I can’t say that I ever did much with Coke collectibles. But a friend’s husband recently passed away and he was an avid collector. She’s asked me to help market his collection. There’s some GREAT stuff as far as I can tell including this two-sided 24” x 22” hanging triangular sign which is dated 1933 and marked “Tenn. Enamel Mfg. Co. Nashville.” It is solid and HEAVY so buyer to pay $35 shipping within the U.S. Due to ebay policies, I reluctantly have a “no returns” policy, so look closely at photos and ask questions first. Please click on “See Other Items” for more Coke antiques and other oddball Coke collectibles. On Oct-17-24 at 14:33:48 PDT, seller added the following ebayer has a book he consulted which says that the original of this sign was made in porcelain. However, as noted with the "Tennessee Enamel Mfg. Co." label, this one is painted. He feels sure this one is a repro. I'm not out to hook anyone on ebay, so I'm posting his input with appreciation for his sharing more expertise than I have. As I've said, this is not my collection and I'm just listing it for a friend whose husband was the collector and has since passed. In any case, this two-sided sign does look great. On Oct-17-24 at 14:44:58 PDT, seller added the following again from the same collector who said the originals were only made in painted tin and not porcelain. But this enamel reproduction version was made to seem like porcelain even with the enamel paint label. On Oct-17-24 at 16:45:51 PDT, seller added the following adding to this listing. Another ebayer has assured me that the Tennessee Enamel Company made this sign for 3 years, 1933, 1934 and 1935. He has no doubts it's the real deal! I'm still just doing my best to share what I'm learning along the way!On Oct-22-24 at 05:18:11 PDT, seller added the following information:I ve added three more closeups of the front (side with date and Tennessee Mfg) and then three closeups of the back.On Oct-22-24 at 18:52:30 PDT, seller added the following information:A bidder asked about the five or six spots on the coke bottle on one side of the sign. When I run my finger across them they are rough, rather than smooth like the rest of the bottle. Hope that helps give a better sense of the condition. On Oct-24-24 at 11:08:51 PDT, seller added the following information:I ve just added another photo to the listing with a close up of the seven spots on the bottle on one side of the sign. As I noted previously when someone pointed them out to me, they do feel rough to my touch and not smooth like the rest of the bottle. But I don't have a clue as to whether they are an original factory error. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

RARE 1903-1905 Coca Cola gum Atlanta GA Shipping Box box Pre Franklin Caro
This is different than any other Coca Cola gum item you have seen for sale. Look at the pictures. This is pre Franklin Caro buyout of the gum company. I have personally been in possession of this box for 6 years. It came out of an estate auction. There has never been another one seen anywhere. Coca Cola gum started In Atlanta and it’s the first time Coca Cola allowed it’s name to be used outside of the bottling company and the gum had the same formula as the drink in 1903 and was sold out of Atlanta. Asa Candler signed off on this deal personally. More information is available on earlycoke.com about the Coca Cola chewing gum company prior to Franklin caro taking it over and more information is available at Theclio com 164796This is what makes this box different than any other Coca Cola gum item. This box had Atlanta on it not Franklin Caro. This was used prior to that sell to Franklin. Everything else you see with Coca Cola gum came about from a deal that happened in 1905 when Franklin Caro took over the production. If you look at the pictures there is no Franklin Caro on the box and the city is Atlanta. If you read the wrapper stamp it says contains the delightful tonic properties of Coca Cola. You can verify all of this on earlycoke com The label on the box refers to DC Aughinbaugh & Sons drugstore which was located at 54 West Washington st Hagerstown MD, as confirmed by the Hagerstown md historic society. Also keep in mind, While Coca Cola used a stencil for all their products of the time, this product was not owned by Coca Cola. They were a separate company, in a separate building licensed to use the Coca Cola name keeping in mind was the only company in history that had the rights to use the name and this company was only in business for 2 years from 1903-1905. vintage coca cola cooler
45 in (width) x 35 in height) x 26 in (depth)Vintage Coca Cola cooler in good physical condition. I moved two years ago. Prior to that I occasionally had a refrigeration repair person (maybe 2 times over 15 years) make service visits. After my move, the cooler no longer worked. I have not pursued repairing it because I had difficulty finding anyone who would work on it. It may need a new compressor. Paint is in good condition but there are minor rust spots on lid. Coca Cola Vintage Neon Clock / Sign by Cleveland Electric Neon Clock Company
PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION Cleveland Neon Coca Cola Clock, made in Cleveland OH by the Electric Neon Clock Company. Model APL-5 (I think) "Standard Bubble" design, Serial No: 63384, made for Coca Cola advertising. I included a short history that I was able to find on the company below. I was very sure this was a perfectly preserved original clock, probably kept indoors, and I had a second identical weathered Pepsi clock that I was able to compare it to, but I've been told by some eBay Coke collectors that this clock has been restored at some point. I'm not an expert, so I'll defer to their expertise. If it's restored, it's a beautiful restoration back to original new condition, and can be confidently used by the buyer because it's been rewired to modern standards. I’ve had this clock for around 13-15 years, and it’s just been stored for that entire time. I never got around to hanging it. I can't find a date of manufacture anywhere on the clock, but the company was in business from the 30's through the 50's. With more research, the serial number should help find a manufacture date. A detailed inspection of this clock reveals no repairs or anything less than a very skillful 'back to new' restoration using all of the original parts.Near perfect condition, face of clock is in great original condition, no paint flaking. Clock works, keeps good time. Neon is white, and appears to be in perfect working order.Plastic light up surround is as good as new, no cracks, lettering is perfect. There are a few small pinholes of missing red paint on this part, barely noticeable- but look closely in the pictures Measurements are 31-1/2" Tall (sitting on floor), 36-1/2" Wide (outermost), 7-1/2" Deep (approx), with inner clock face itself measuring 25" across including the white number surround.Rear "can" part is also in great condition, original looking green paint, no rust or dents, no scratches- couple of small chips in green paint on the sharp edges- solid original condition. Hang it up and plug it in, and enjoy this awesome vintage Coca Cola clock! As mentioned above, I had a Pepsi clock identical to this one that I sold a while back, and it was obvious that that one had been mounted on the exterior of a building. It was still in great shape- these Cleveland Clock signs were built heavy-duty, and made to last! There is a website out there where you can buy some replacement parts like the clock motor if ever needed. This clock needs nothing! For a clock made 70 to 90 years ago, it's in amazing condition! You won't find a nicer one!!Located in Michigan, I will ship at buyers expense, or if you’re located close enough to Grand Rapids Michigan, I might be willing to meet in the middle after payment clears. I'd prefer the second method due to the fragile nature of neon, and the unknowns in shipping. But, I am an experienced shipper, and I will pack this as good as humanly possible to make the trip intact if buyer decides to have it shipped! Buyer must insure if shipped. ***IMPORTANT*** The eBay quoted shipping prices that pop up when you look at or buy an item like this that has to ship by alternative means are NOT accurate. Can either ship well-packed on a pallet by truck, or hand delivered by Uship (this is a good way to go in my experience). Ships ONLY within the continental US. Buyer will only be charged exact shipping price. I'll pack it on a pallet or whatever as directed by buyer for no extra charge to the buyer. Some history of the Cleveland based "Electric Neon Clock Company" (from neonclock dot org)- The "Cleveland" name: The Electric Neon Clock Co. was never known as "Cleveland Clocks" while the company was in business. That is a current fabrication, probably due to the long, and rather generic, company name. This is similar to why some people in the industry refer to Neon Products clocks as "Lima" clocks. Marketing the clocks: Typically a salesman would have 8 or 10 clocks shipped to them by Railway Express to some town or another. He would then load them into his salesmen special car. The cars were typically driven 100,000 miles in a year. They were then brought back to Cleveland for the big sales meeting and the representatives would get another car. The reps drove around to small towns through out America to make their sales. The down payment was his to keep as his commission on the sale. The salesman would install the clock then and there. Permits were rarely required. The balance was paid by mail at a rate of $10.00 per month. Interest was not charged. However, excessive non-payment resulted in your clock just disappearing during the night. The repossessed clock were sent back to the factory and the good parts were reused. The clocks were sometimes sold to beverage companies like Pepsi, or Dr. Pepper etc. and the cola salesmen would give them away in order to get the retailer to switch to their soft drink. In another marketing version the clock was sold to the retailer but he got his money back in free products from the soft drink manufacturer. The round feet (and sometimes "streamlined" feet) and handle at the top were needed by the salesmen during the presentation. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

? RARE Antique Coca Cola Charlie McCarthy CBS Advertisement Banner Sign, 1949
eBay This is a seldomly seen and RARE Antique Coca Cola Charlie McCarthy CBS Advertisement Banner Sign, screen-printed on cotton canvas, advertising both Coca-Cola and the Edgar Bergen with Charlie McCarthy Radio show, which was sponsored by Coca-Cola beginning in 1949. Bergen and McCarthy promoted Coca-Cola in both CBS radio programs and print ads until 1952. The first ever Coca-Cola radio commercial was heard during the Charlie McCarthy Show. This piece reads: "Coca-Cola brings you Edgar Bergen with Charlie McCarthy Sunday Evenings...Tune in KNX - 5:00 P.M." These banners are very rare and pop up on the market about once every 20 years or so. Collectors do not want to part with them, and very few have survived intact. Only one other example is known to exist. Approximately 42 1/2 x 60 1/4 inches (including frame.) Actual visible artwork is approximately 40 1/2 x 58 1/2 inches. Good - Fair condition for 70+ years of age, display usage, and storage, with some small tears to the canvas, scuffs, and areas of soiling (please see photos.) The contemporary custom wooden frame has some chipping, hairline cracks, and edge wear. Considering that this advertisement is on canvas, these condition issues could be addressed by a tactful Art Restorer. Acquired from an old sign collection in Los Angeles County, California. Due to the large size of this piece, S&H costs will be unavoidably high. However, Free Local Pickup from Los Angeles County, California is also an option. If you like what you see, I encourage you to make an Offer. Please check out my other listings for more wonderful and unique artworks!About this Item:The oldest food hocking dummy they have is Charlie McCarthy, the ventriloquist dummy of Edger Bergen. The Edgar Bergman show was a ventriloquist radio show debuted in 1937 on the Chase and Sanborn Hour. In 1949 the show, now called the Charlie McCarthy Show, adopted Coca-Cola as their sponsor and Bergen and McCarthy promoted it on the radio and in print ads until 1952. The first ever Coca-Cola radio commercial was heard during the Charlie McCarthy Show. The sale was led by an original oil painting featuring radio stars Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy checking out a cooler full of Coca-Cola from 1949. This artwork was used in numerous company advertisements and also prominently featured on the back cover of an issue of National Geographic in 1950, attributed to Haddon Sundblum. The artwork opened at $18,000 and shot to a final price of $53,680. It fell to the bidding number wielded by Ted Ryan and Justine Fletcher, who were in the gallery representing the famous Atlanta headquartered company’s archive department. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
